While not the most played, it set the ground work for, not only every Street Fighter game moving forward, but almost every fighting game to this day. Originally released in Arcades and later ported to the Super Nintendo and SEGA Genesis, there's a reason some version of Street Fighter 2 is on every console, it is that important.
